Societé Agricola Le Muricce srl • Via Petriolo 66 • 50022 • Greve In Chianti
Le Muricce has 3,65 acres of vineyards, of which 1,20 acres are situated around the estate. The other vineyard La Casina has 2,45 acres and is situated on the south facing hills just outside Panzano.
The estate changed ownership in 2009 and the wine production changed completely. The new owners, Bernard Buys and his wife Rita Cornelis are not beginners. In 1998, they acquired a small vineyard in France, in the Bourgogne area and they are one of the happy few who can write ‘Clos Vougeot’ on their wine label.
In the heart of Tuscany and the region of the Chianti Classico, half way between Florence and Siena, lies the old town of Greve in Chianti.
The Chianti region is world renowned for its breathtaking scenery and historical towns, its delicious olive oils, the local white and black truffles and above all, its magnificent wines.
Greve in Chianti is surrounded by the most gorgeous vineyards, mostly in the villages of Panzano, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole.
Some three kilometres outside this town, hidden in the Tuscan hills, and on your way to the lovely village of Lamole, you can find the winery Le Muricce.
